About

Tiana

Let me tell you a little about myself and what led to my passion for making wellness and nutrition taste good. My name is Tiana, and I am a classically trained chef with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Culinary Arts.

Growing up with an Italian mother who was always cooking from scratch and was fond of enhancing peoples lives with her delicious food, left a lasting impression on my soul and led to my passion for a love of cooking.

I loved to cook, and I loved to cook food that tasted really, really good! The more dairy, the more butter the better. When I was 22 years old, after a couple of years deciding what I wanted to do with my life, I realized that I needed to pursue my passion and that led me to culinary school, I was going to be a chef.

Schooling showed me that my passion and love required REALLY hard work to hone my craft in becoming a professional. I worked in the industry as a Prep Cook, Garde Manger and Line Cook, while attending school.

The long and challenging college preparation was an arduous, educational and enlightening time in my life. That experience shaped how I liked to cook and prepare food.

The time spent in school combined with extensive work hours maturing my craft demanded a disciplined and vigorous exercise routine, conjoined with a nutritionally balanced diet, to secure my success.

Good taste took on a whole new meaning. I applied my developing culinary skills to enhance the flavor of nutritional food that was required to give me strength to work long hours in achieving my goal of becoming a chef.
Before I new it I had lost 20 pounds and was in great shape. This leads me to FluxLab.
My desire is to help people like me; people who want to eat good tasting food while improving their eating habits. I will help you find a balance in your nutrition. I will teach you how to eat the

right amount of food to help you reach your goals. And at the same time not restrict you from eating things that taste great!

James Durbin grew up in Boise, Idaho and has devoted pretty much all of his young life to developing himself as a leader and instructor. He joined the Young Marines program at the age of 10 and over the course of 8 years went from the lowest ranks of the program to leading the program’s entire west coast division as Young Marine of the year.

Upon completion of high school James joined the Marine Corps, and immediately volunteered for Reconnaissance training. After over a year of the Marine Corps’ most grueling selection and training James had received 2 meritorious promotions and was the honor graduate in 3 of his schools. He spent his time in the Marine Corps with 1st Recon Battalion and the Force Recon Company, training for special missions and deployed to various locations in 2013 with the 13th MEU. That is when James developed a passion for coaching, and started a small gym for his teammates while deployed.
After serving his obligated time with the Marine Corps James wanted to take the next step to learn more about fitness, movement, and mobility. He was privileged enough to be given the opportunity to train under, and be mentored by world renown human performance coach and New York Times best selling author Brian MacKenzie. Working with Brian, James took his understanding of movement and training to another level. James then was blessed to coach under Max Mormont at CrossFit Costa Mesa where he gained valuable experience and learned extremely effective methods in strength and conditioning.

James always strives to be the very best at everything he does, and loves sharing that passion with his athletes. Today, James coaches at CrossFit E3, and resides in Eagle, Idaho with his beautiful wife Tiana, daughter Penelope, and French Bulldog Moses.
